Biografi Tones of home is from a small town called Kalmar on the Swedish east coast. Our music could be described as “powerish” pop with a melancholic and melodic touch. The five piece band was originally formed back in 2005 after a few jam sessions with Johan, David and Erik. Out of the first jams came a few songs and we recorded them a cold weekend in the beginning of November 2005. The demo helped us to get a recording session at a local radio station in Kalmar. And then things started to get more serious. After a few demo recording Tones of home got the opportunity to record in a professional studio “Pama” studios in Torsås. Out of that came the song “Walkabout” that attracted attention at both demo sites and a few radio shows. That encourages us to write more music and to find gigs at local clubs.

In 2006 that the band reformed a little and Tones of home now includes guitarist Oskar and keyboard player Peter. Every member has a genuine love for music in various genres and that and that’s what makes playing together so enjoyable. In the beginning of 2007 Tones of home played a few gigs that helped us to get another recording session at “Pama”. This time we knew what we wanted to sound like and as soon as “Amusement” was ready it gained quite lot of attention. It made us winners of the" Livegiget" competition at AllEars.se. That meant a gig arranged by " EMA Telstar" at the legendary club Sticky Fingers (together with Swedish for beginners) in Gothenburg 21/11. Tones of home was also picked as one of the band to compete in “Bodog Battle” at Debaser (medis) in Stockholm. In late October we made it from the first “audition round” to the “Impress the judges” round. Apparently the judges liked us and we went to the “City finals” which took place at Debaser (medis) on February 3rd. With a lot of help from the great audience we made it through to the Regional Finals at Vega, Copenhagen. We are playing with bands from Denmark, Holland and Sweden and the winner gets a ticket to USA and a tour with a chance to win a recording contract worth 1 milj. $! Since the first jams in 2005 Tones of home have played about 20 gigs so far.
